Site Maintenance

I offer monthly content maintenance services.  Some clients choose to maintain their own site while others prefer having someone else perform these services.  Maintenance is an important aspect to keeping your site looking fresh which translates to keeping repeat visitors looking to your site for updated information.

Maintenance fees are generally in relation to the depth of your site, but are in most cases no more than $150-$250 per year.

Maintenance plans include the following:

• All outside links are tested to ensure they have remained in working order
• New links can be added
• Continued submission to major search engines
• Limited additional content (text provided by client)  with no substantial changes to a page, deleting  pages or changing a photo are considered minimal and are included.
• All updates will take place within 48 hours of notification of changes. (Does not include weekends).

Another maintenance option is software which I can install. Content Management System allows for updating the website without knowledge of HTML. The interface is similar to that of a word processor and access is through your favorite web browser.  Cost varies .

Another option for keeping updated information on your site is to install a blog. While there are free blogs available, the key to continued branding is to utilizie your URL, not another’s URL.  Every time a consumer of your website visits, thinks, types your website name this further brands your business.

With a blog, again, no HTML knowledge is needed. The entries are made using an interface similar to a word processor.

Cost to install a blog runs approximately $35. Customization cost to match your existing website varies and I will provide a quote based upon your needs.
